Aubrey Jayne is a photographer originally from Portland, Oregon. Her work focuses on themes of the female gaze and coming of age, with hopes of creating a visual voice for her subjects. Photography has turned into a device for her to engage deeper with her own experiences, in turn pushing her to connect and intertwine more authentically with others. Each photo acts as a window into shared vulnerability: a push and pull to feel out the perfect balance of collaboration. Finding the moments in between candid and constructed becomes important as she uses her power as the photographer to give back control to the people she shoots with.
